The Bartender tells me (soberly and, I might add, accurately) that I am a day late and a dollar short in posting this now that the brew-ha-ha over the Evil Overlord has settled a bit. I remind the Bartender that lots of folks are a dollar short these days and one of them isn't the Prolific Pontificator of Prodigious Posterior.

The Bartender wisely pretends not to hear this bit of wisdom by going down the rail to mix some St. Patty's Day specials for a couple of full to the eyes with Bud-Lite fraternity boys wearing their finest Ralph Lauren Green™ who obviously migrated north from the South Side Irish Parade.

Never being one to trust some one who doesn't drink (while on shift anyway), I choose to ignore the Bartender's sage advice and my own better judgement (which which stormed off in a fit of racial heritage after the last shot of evil Irish brew) and post anyway.

Terror In Breakfast Land: Cereal Killings Continue to Baffle Police.

The entertainment world is reeling in shock and horror again this morning as late last evening KooKo Bird the beloved spokesperson for KoKo Puffs Cereal was found brutally murdered in his Bel Aire estate. KooKo is apparently the latest victim in a series of shocking murders which have sent many breakfast food spokestars into hiding and their sponsors demanding stepped-up security from law enforcement authorities.

I knew it. Don't ask me how - I wouldn't tell you anyway, even if I knew how I knew. I just knew. And, even though fyrefly and prolly a host of others whom I haven't had time to read or read and fail to recall now (say sorry - I love you all) said it both better and before me, I just had to add my cents-less-ness to the discussion.

I got hosed. And, the sad part is, the hosing took place by the only politician - in my 45 years on this, god's green footstool - I ever believed in. Let's be the quick brown fox, jump over the lazy dog and I'll tell y'all about it all (even if the nuns come after me - again).

Bye the bye, I gotta get this out quick before the bartender: 1) Stops serving me and kicks my ragged ass to the curb; or 2) Swipes my I/P (Hat Tip to Lieber and the rest of the kidz in the DKos Shipping Department for restocking the supply of P's, I's and /'s) as I have been babbling to her all afternoon about what I have to say here.

I am a lurker here at DKos and I love it. Never written a diary, and honestly never planned too, unless it was something on Ghost Bikes in Chicago or some other thing of moderate and cycling interest.

Then I saw this. And, the laugh out loud quotient was way too high for me not to share with fellow Kossacks.

I say without exception (and yes I searched) that if some more talented soul has opined herein on this topic, then I will delete immediately (as long as I am still at the bar - otherwise, it'll be tomorrow).

Let's be the quick brown fox and jump over the lazy dog and see what we think.

And, I gotta say, it'd be a lot easier to write this if the bartender would stop serving me.
